The Indian Vice President M Venkiah Naidu during his speech in Bhubaneswar hailed the greatness of a teacher and emphasized the necessity to love the mother tongue. Mr. Naidu said that the role of a teacher is irreplaceable as they help in transforming the society. He even emphasized that even Google can't replace the guru (teacher). Speaking of the importance of mother tongue, the Vice-President said that it's good to learn other languages but one should never forget his/her mother tongue.
He also advised the students to be adaptable to the changing trends and should learn the needed skills to survive in this competitive world.
Calling India a land of opportunities, Venikah Naidu said one can achieve anything with hard work and passion irrespective of one’s background, citing the examples of former president late APJ Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr. Naidu said this while addressing a congregation of graduate, post-graduate and Doctorate degree recipients at the 13th Convocation Ceremony of KIIT University in Bhubaneswar.
