Karni Sena chief: You can’t show anything in name of film

Bollywood’s much-awaited period drama “Padmavati” stuck to the headlines with its release. Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the leads, the film is slated for a grand release on December 1, 2017.

 

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie is raising a storm as several sections of the society are opposing the release of the film.

 

 

During a protest in Gujarat against the film, Rajput Karni Sena President Lokendra Singh Kalvi said, “It is not a film, it is history. You cannot just show anything in the name of a film.”

 

Also, many protests took place in Mumbai against the release of “Padmavati”. The police also detained fifteen members of the Akhand Rajputana Sevasangh.
