Ever since the movie 'Padmavati' hit the floors, the controversies have been its permanent companions. After the Rajput community vandalized the movie sets, the BJP accused the director of distorting the facts. Though the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given a clarity that there are no romantic scenes between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, the protests only grew bigger.
Amidst all the hue and cry and controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets a small sigh of relief. The Supreme Court rejected the plea seeking a stay on the film's release. Dismissing to stay the release, the Supreme Court said the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) considers all aspects before granting a certificate to any film and it had no say in that.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Padmavati' is a historical drama that features Deepika Padukone in the titular role of 'Padmavati', while Shahid Kapoor plays her husband Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as the invader Alauddin Khilji.
The movie is all set for a massive release on 1st December 2017.
