Padmavati controversy: Modi government looks for historians

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone's upcoming film “Padmavati” is one of the much-discussed subjects in the country. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is embroiling in the controversy in connection with the release issues as many politicians and others are protesting against the film alleging that the director has tampered the historical facts.



Now, the Modi government has decided to seek the help of eminent historians to review the film.


It is heard that I&B ministry has written a letter to the HRD ministry after receiving a request by the CBFC for providing it with the historians to verify the content.
