An all new app is out, which can reveal the identity of people. The company known for augemented reality experience to smartphones, Blippar has announced the launch of 'Augmented Reality Face Profiles'. This adds real-time facial recognition to the app.
The feature enables the users to scan any face in-person or through any other medium including print and television and then unlocks augmented reality experience for people who have a recognized face profile.
According to the company, over 70,000 public figures will be recognizable at launch including actors, politicians, musicians, singers, entrepreneurs, authors, sportsmen, scientist etc. It added that it will soon allow users to set up their own face profiles, making their own face 'blippable' and let others view the information they have chosen to display. But for now, it is only available for public figures, who have the option to set up their own AR Face Profile.
