Chiranjeevi to hold a press conference on Friday; suspense over his reentry into active politics
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is a Rajya Sabha MP from the Congress party, has been keeping away from active politics for sometime now. Chiranjeevi was not present at the Parliament budget session, neither did he join the A.P. MPs in their protest for special status for Andhra Pradesh. While shooting fot ‘Sye ra’ would have been a good excuse, the fact remains that Chiranjeevi has taken a break from the movie as well, citing work on his look and the script.
However, news is emerging from Bengaluru that Chiranjeevi will be campaigning for a week for the upcoming Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections. The Karnataka PCC has also confirmed this news. It is being said that both Rahul and Sonia Gandhi insisted that Chiranjeevi must campaign and that he was unable to decline. Chiranjeevi has called for a press conference on Friday. Whether he will talk about his reentry into active politics, the events of the Maa association in the US or just give updates about Sye Ra, has become a point of discussion.
