Donald Trump to meet North Korea’s Kim Jong Un

Finally, US President Donald Trump accepted the offer to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for talks. This is an extraordinary development after months of nuclear tension. Earlier, both the leaders also exchanged frequent insults and military threats.

Chung Eui-yong, the South Korean national security adviser, told reporters on Thursday night at the White House that Kim has also committed to stopping nuclear and missile testing, even during joint military drills in South Korea next month.

Chung added that Kim has expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible and stated that Mr. Trump said that he would meet Kim Jong Un by May.
