Andhra Pradesh’s Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu introduced the budget of AP for the year 2017-18. This is the first budget that has been introduced in the new Assembly of the state. The total budget has been estimated to be Rs 1,56,199 crores. Here are the highlights of the budget introduced:

Rs 12,770 Cr for the field of Irrigation.
Education Ministry gets Rs 20,385 Cr.
Kaapu Corporation gets Rs 1000 Cr.
Power subsidy for the poor people in the state has been allotted Rs 3300 Cr.
Rs 1773 Cr for Women and Children Welfare.
Health Department gets Rs 7050 Cr.
Rs 5221 Cr for Home Ministry.
Rs 6574 Cr for Medical Department and Education.
Security and Peace have been allotted Rs 5221 Cr.
Urban Development has been given Rs 4216 Cr.
Transport Department gets Rs 3946.
Industries Development has been given Rs 1665 Cr.
Rs 1525 Cr for Drinking Water and Sanitation.
Rs 240 Cr for Minority Wages.
Rs 90 Cr for the Disabled.
