The Hyderabadi girl PV SIndhu is a cynosure of all eyes, ever since she bagged the prestigious silver medal in Rio Olympics. Currently, she is riding high on her success and achievements. Now, reports surfaced stating that after several cash rewards and expensive presents, she signed a three-year deal worth Rs 50 crore with sports management company – Baseline.
Speaking to a leading media house, the managing director and the co-founder of Baseline, Tuhin Mishra said that in the next three years, they will work to maximize her value as she grabbed the attention of so many companies.
The Baseline will now manage the shuttler’s brand profiling, endorsements, licensing etc. Mr. Mishra said that she is in the last stages of signing with nine companies and is yet to take the decision on others. He added that like her coach Pullela Gopichand, Sindhu will also not endorse Cola products as they have an adverse influence on youth.
On the other hand, she will allocate very limited time for the commercials as her priority is practicing time. According to the deal, she will receive a certain amount of guarantee money upfront every year while the rest will depend on her endorsements. However, he didn't disclose the details of the deal.
