On Friday, TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy has made sensational comments about the fast-unto-death observed by TDP MP CM Ramesh. He said that the deeksha to achieve Integrated Steel Plant in Kadapa district will not materialize.
“Can you (Ramesh) achieve steel plant with the deeksha. We cannot get either steel (ukku) or scrap (tukku). Even if you achieve martyrdom like Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu, nothing will happen as long as Narendra Modi remains Prime Minister,’’ he said.
He added, “Even if we repeat the agitation like that of ‘Visakha Ukku Andhrula Hakku’ for achieving steel plant in Visakhapatnam long back, we cannot achieve steel plant in Kadapa as the BJP government is not in a position to heed the people’s aspirations.”
He claimed that he had told Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that Narendra Modi would not do anything for the benefit of AP.
