Prostitution racket busted in Hyderabad, actress rescued

On Sunday, the police busted a high-profile prostitution racket in Hyderabad after conducting a raid at a hotel in the locality of Banjara Hills. The police also rescued a 24-year-old budding film actress from Mumbai. She is a native of Agra.


According to police, they received a tip-off about the flesh trade and they arrested the brothel organizer along with customer, who is a government employee.



The police arrested A Janardhan Rao, who is a ‘habitual brothel organiser’ and has previously indulged in luring upcoming actress from Mumbai into the prostitution in and around Hyderabad.


The police said that Rao and other absconding accused lured the actresses on a contract basis by paying Rs 1 lakh for a week and they used to collect Rs 20,000 from each customer.
