Of late, Tollywood has been obsessed with the trend of Weddings. After ‘Happy Wedding’, and ‘Chi La Sow’, here comes ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ with a similar theme. Producer ‘Dil’ Raju who delivered the biggest hit ‘Bommarillu’ on his banner released the movie on 9th August, the same day when ‘Bommarillu’ was released 12 years ago. Let’s see whether ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ can repeat the magic of ‘Bommarillu’ or not.

Story:

‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ is the all about what happens when a marriage alliance is set between two families with contrasting backgrounds. Sridevi alias Sree (Raashi Khanna) is the lovely daughter of a business tycoon RK (Prakash Raj) falls in love with Srinivas alias Vasu (Nithin) and they both decide to get married. But, Sree’s father throws a pre-condition to Vasu, which he accepts. What is that condition and did Vasu win it is the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Satish Vegesna who came up with a feel-good family entertainer with this debut movie ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’ comes up with yet another beautiful family entertainer that highlights the significance of a traditional marriage. Though there’s nothing new about the story, it’s the way the director presented the movie is worth applauds. It reminds us of the small sensibilities which we forgot in this materialistic world.

The first half of the movie is about the love thread between the lead pair and the entire second half is about the family bonding and traditions.

Positives:

Thought-provoking dialogues
Songs
Performances by the artists

Negatives:

Not so great conflict point
Nothing novel story-wise

Verdict:

On the whole, ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ is yet another feel-good family entertainer which can’t be missed.
