US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un marked the beginning of their first one-on-one meeting with a handshake in Singapore. The meeting ended in less than an hour.
Sitting at a table with Mr. Trump, Kim said, “The way to come to here was not easy.”
He added, “The old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward but we overcame all of them and we are here today.”
Mr. Trump said, “We will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt.”
Asked by a reporter how the meeting was going, Mr Trump said: “Very good. Very, very good. Good relationship.”
