In the wake of which the Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government announced that it would ramp up the medical facilities in the state to tackle the increasing caseload. Addressing the issue, CM Jagan said an additional 54 hospitals would be set up across the state for treating corona patients.
“We are working towards setting up critical care facilities in a total of 138 hospitals and an additional Rs 1,000 crore will be spent in the next six months,” he added. It can be noted that the state is spending about Rs 6.5 crore a day on coronavirus tests and quarantine facilities.
