The three day intense Income Tax raids in the properties owned by actress Tapsee and director Anurag Kashyap ended up with exchange words between Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the actress.
In a press meet on Friday the FinMin said that the same persons were raided in 2013 as well, but no issue was made out, referred to the raids.
Further the BJP leader refused to comment on individual cases in the national interest. Social media, on the other hand, is rife with posts that the Modi-led government fell in defence over the criticism that BJP has been deliberately targeting Bollywood celebrities who once protested against government’s policies.
Hinting back the FinMin’s comments, actress Tapsee Pannu broke the silence since the intense raids were on at her home. Three after the raids, Tapsee took to her Twitter handle to take a dig at the FinMin and government with a postscript: “Not so sasti” anymore.
In the first tweet she posted today, she said, “Three days of intense search. Of three things primarily: 1. The keys of the ‘alleged’ bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner.”
2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before 😡

The actress, who has made a name for herself in films such as “Pink”, “Thappad” and “Badla”, put out a strong-worded post on the matter. She along with director and good friend Anurag Kashyap are known to lend her voice for various causes, including the ongoing farmer protests against central laws.
