In what can be called as a shock to the Pawan Kalyan’s fan fraternity, three supporters of JanaSena party were electrocuted to death while erecting the banner at Kanamaladoddi village in Shantipuram Mandal, Chittoor district on Tuesday.
According to Kuppam Circle Inspector, seven of the Pawan Kalyan fans were erecting a 40 feet high banner for the event of the actor’s birthday on Wednesday while the banner came in contact with a 6.5 KV live wire. The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Somasekhar, his brother 32-year-old Rajendra and their friend 28-year-old Arunachalam.
Four others who suffered injuries were shifted to PES Hospital, Kuppam. Their condition is said to be stable and out of danger.
While expressing their condolences, JanaSena Chief Pawan Kalyan also announced financial support of Rs 2 lakh to the family of the deceased. In an official statement released minutes after the incident, the actor-turned-politician stated that it was his responsibility to support the family.
‘Vakeel Saab’ producer Boney Kapoor as well announced Rs 2 lakhs to each of the bereaved family on behalf of the film team. He took to his Twitter page and posted a statement expressing grief over the incident.
