While the state government has been taking up all possible measures to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus in Telangana, the health authorities on Monday confirmed three new positive cases. With this, the number of cases in the state has increased to 33 raising alarm amidst the lockdown.
Tension ran high as the state health authorities registered six new cases from the past 12 hours. It was learnt that all the three new cases had no travel history to foreign countries but had close contact with the Indonesian group which recently tested positive. On the other hand, Gandhi Hospital officials confirmed that one of the patients was discharged with the blood tests turning negative.
Upon the same, health minister Etala Rajendra addressed the media who stated that condition of all the patients was stable and the government has been taking all necessary steps to assure the spread of the viral infection is curbed. “We have sent the blood samples of 97 people who came in close contact with Indonesians in Virology Lab in Pune. Meanwhile, all the people are kept under isolation,” he added.
It is to the known knowledge that Telangana announced complete lockdown in the respective stated till March 31st. In the line of which all international flight services will be suspended and vehicles including public and private transport buses will be allowed into the State.
