324 dead in Kerala floods, PM Modi takes aerial survey

At least 324 people were killed in rain-hit Kerala over the last nine days. This is definitely the most savage monsoon in the century. Over two lakh people have been displaced.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed the same by issuing a new rain alert for the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Kerala and today along with Mr Vijayan made an aerial survey of the worst affected districts.
A tweet from the Chief Minister’s office said, “Kerala is facing its worst flood in 100 years. 80 dams opened, 324 lives lost and 223139 people are in about 1500+ relief camps.”
