Despite the fact that the corona graph on Tuesday witnessed a dip with 83,809 new cases after registering over 90,000 cases from the past 5 days, corona rampage continued in India while the total caseload surpassed 4.9 million-mark. According to the recent health bulletin from the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 49,30,236 confirmed COVID-19 cases by Tuesday.
India now has 9,90,061 active cases while 38,59,400 patients were cured/discharged/migrated, confirmed the health officials. Yet, India’s recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 78 per cent. On the other hand, the Indian states and union territories in the last 24 hours logged 1,054 deaths as the total death toll is now at 80,776.
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have reported the highest number of cases as states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have been reporting active raise in the number of cases in the last few days.
5,83,12,273 samples tested up to 14th September for COVID19, of these 10,72,845 were tested on Monday, confirmed the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR).
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh after many days reported cases below the 8,000-mark. With 7,956 fresh cases detected in the last 24 hours, the total number of cases rose to 5,75,079 while the recoveries increased to 4,76,903. While 60 more succumbed to the pandemic as the toll mounted to 4,972.
Telangana added 1,417 new coronavirus cases along with 13 fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of infections in the state to 1,58,513 as the total death toll currently stands at 974.
