After a record dip in the corona cases across the country, the viral infection has been registering a steady increase amidst the second wave reports. India on Saturday logged 46,232 new Covid-19 infections were recorded in the past 24 hours, taking India’s total tally to 90,50,598.
Total active cases at stood at 4,39,747 while total discharged cases at 84,78,124 with 49,715 new discharges in last 24 hours. The death toll mounted to 1,32,726 with 564 recent fatalities and the national positivity is 4.3 per cent, Covid death rate is 1.46 per cent, and the overall recovery rate stands at 93.7 per cent.

In Andhra Pradesh, as many as 1,221 new cases emerged in the last 24 hours taking the COVID-19 count to 8,59,932. The COVID toll rose to 6,920 with 10 more fatalities. At present, the number of active cases in the State is 15,382.
Telangana, on the other hand, reported 925 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to over 2.,62,653 while three fatalities pushed the toll to 1,426, the state government said on Saturday.
