With a jump of 55,839 cases in the last 24 hours, the total caseload in India on Thursday touched 77 lakh-mark. According to the recent health bulletin issued by the Union Health Ministry, India’s total cases surge to 77,06,946 while the total active cases are 7,15,812 after a decrease of 24,278 in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, 702 new deaths were registered taking the total death toll mounts to 1,16,616 by Wednesday evening. As per the data, total cured cases are 68,74,518 with 79,415 new discharges in last 24 hours.

Coronavirus deaths in Andhra Pradesh have crossed the 6,500-mark to reach 6,508 deaths with 28 more fatalities on Wednesday. The state reported 3,746 more infections, raising the state’s tally to 7.93 lakh, inching closer to the 8 lakh mark.
Telangana, meanwhile, reported 5 deaths & 1,456 new COVID-19 cases by Thursday. Total no of cases mounts to 2,27,580 of which 20,183 are active. 1,717 discharged & 38,565 samples tested today. On the global front, more than 41.04 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,127,177 have died.
