While we are progressing in all directions, there are some things that aren’t going forward very well for everybody. In recent months, there were already a lot of incidents where children were rescued from bonded labor. A similar incident has happened again in Hyderabad today.
The Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone team, Hyderabad along with Chatrinaka police, Child welfare officials and Special revenue inspector Bandlaguda raided a Bangle Making unit at Lalitha Bagh, Uppuguda and rescued 6 bonded laborers aged below 14 years who are based from Bihar state.
Officers apprehended the accused person Rajesh Das, S/o Misri Das, Age: 39 years, Occupation: Bangles Merchant, R/oSultan Shahi, Charminar, Hyderabad, who brought children from Bihar state and exploiting them in his hazardous Bangle Making Unit and using them unlawfully as a Child Labour.
Later, all six rescued children were handed over to Child Welfare officials. The apprehended accused was handed over to SHO, Chatrinaka Police Station for further action.
Earlier in 2021, 20 children were rescued in Bihar from a Bangle-making unit.
