Amidst the raising concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus in the wake of lockdown relaxation, Andhra Pradesh continued to register not less than 60 cases every day. According to the recent reports released by the state health authorities, 68 new cases were recorded in the state from the past 24 hours while one patient succumbed to viral infection.
With this, the total number of cases increased to 2,407 as 715 patients are receiving treatment at various COVID-19 hospitals across the state. In the 68 new cases registered, officials identified that 10 cases- 6 in Chittoor and four cases in Nellore have a connection with Koyambedu market.
Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that 1,639 patients recovered from the infection and were discharged from COVID hospitals. However, in the wake of the relaxed guidelines, the steady increase in the death rate has become a new concern to the officials.
