Red Fort on 74th Independence Day celebrations reverberated with ‘self-resilience’ mantra while Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the seventh straight addressed the nation on the same day. Amidst over 4,000 people, including diplomats, officials and media personnel, the Prime Minister hoisted the flag on Red Fort after paying tributes at Raj Ghat.
Followed by which, Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort while multilayered security arrangements including NSG snipers, elite SWAT commandos and kite catchers were all eyes. The PM started his speech thanking all the frontline workers relentlessly working to back the pandemic.
Later, he emphasised to the Atmanirbhar Bharat and how the mantra can beat the hindrance, which the country has ever seen. “This dream is turning into a pledge. Aatmanirbhar Bharat has become a ‘mantra’ for the 130 crore Indians today,” said Modi.
PM Modi launched a National Digital Health Mission and claimed it as a revolution in India’s health sector. “As a part of this ‘completely technology-based’ initiative every Indian would get an ID card that would contain all relevant information about his/her medical conditions,” he added.
On his note, Modi didn’t spare China and Pakistan in his address. Without even taking the name of the countries, PM has sent a song message that they are ready to give a befitting reply in their own language. Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister said India is committed to holding assembly elections in the Valley once delimitation exercise is complete.
