India which is now sending as the third worst-hit country with increasing cases with each passing day, the Indian states and union territories logged on Wednesday logged 78,357 new positive cases in the last 24 hours. With which the total caseload of the country reached to 37,69,524 till date.
On the other hand, India recorded 1,045 deaths from Tuesday morning taking the total death toll to 66,333. Official data confirms that of the total cases registered so far, 8,01,282 active cases while 29,019,09 have cured/recovered/migrated.
According to the latest reports from Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare fifty-four per cent of the total coronavirus cases in India were reported among people from 18 to 44 years of age while patients in 60 years and above bracket account for 51 per cent deaths.
Meanwhile, Telangana continued to record an increase in coronavirus cases with 2,892 fresh infections and 10 more deaths, taking the tally in the state to 1.30 lakh. With 10 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, casualties in the state have risen to 846.
Andhra Pradesh reported 10,368 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing its overall tally further up to 4.45 lakh on Tuesday. 84 more succumbed in the last 24 hours talking the death toll to 4,053.
