Hyderabad: Amidst the KCR’s insecurities that TRS would soon lose its sheen in Telangana overshadowed by the ruling BJP party, the Huzurnagar By-polls took prominence. The elections stood as the litmus test for not only TRS but also for all other main league parties who are in the race. According to the Election Commission’s reports, over 84 per cent polling was recorded in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in Suryapet district on Monday. While the results are to be announced on October 24th, the election would record a tough fight amongst TRS, Congress, BJP and TDP. As the elections were held to fill the gap after the resignation of state Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, his wife N Padmavati, a former MLA, is the front runner. TRS fielded Saidi Reddy while Kota Rama Rao and Chava Kiranmayi are the candidates of BJP and TDP respectively. According to the speculations of the political analysts, whoever wins would be with the minor majority.
