Globally, India is now the second-highest number of coronavirus cases, behind the United States where infections crossed 7 million on Thursday. While the country’s Corona count kept chasing the US’, India on Friday logged 86,052 new corona positive cases pacing down for the eighth consecutive day.
According to the latest reports from the union health ministry, India’s COVID19 case tally crosses 58-lakh mark despite the decrease in the number of cases from the past few days. Indian states and union territories logged so far recorded 58,18,571 including with 9,70,116 active case. On the other hand, 47,56,165 patients were cured/discharged/migrated.
Total fatalities reached to 92,290 with 1,141 deaths in the last 24 hours. While Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, infections are rising rapidly in states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. More than 13.80 lakh tests done in the last 24 hours, stated Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

India’s Covid-19 recovery rate improves to 81.74% as on September 25. The steady improvement in recovery rate since lockdown initiation on March 25. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh recorded 7,855 new cases of the novel coronavirus on September 24, taking its tally to over 6.54 lakh.
Telangana reported 2,381 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the tally of positive infections to 1,81,627, while the death toll rose to 1,080 with 10 more fatalities, Telangana’s COVID bulletin said Friday.
