Post a series of twists and ambiguous announcements from the TRS government and CM himself, the day has finally come and Chief Minister KCR didn’t welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration ceremony of the Shri Ramanujacharya statue at Muchinthal, Shamshabad. Earlier, the CMO has announced that former minister Talasani will say welcome. Then they altered the announcement adding that KCR will personally welcome the PM, while at the end, it’s just the ministers with DGP who did the job.
The CMO came up with a reason stating that KCR got a fever and not feeling well. Despite his absence, Modi was warmly welcomed by Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Governor Tamilisai, Minister Talasani, CS, and DGP. After landing at Shamshabad airport, Modi flew to Ikrishat in a special helicopter.
There has been a lot of news on the screen since Friday evening about welcoming the Prime Minister. Many believed that KCR will stick to the protocol and personally welcome the Prime Minister which is his responsibility as a Chief Minister of Telangana. Later, a note was released to the media saying that Minister Talasani will say welcome in place of the CM. On that note, it is hinted that KCR would go later. But KCRhowever stayed away saying that he had a sudden fever. In this context, political analysts are raising suspicions.
Earlier on the Union Budget day, KCR made some insulting remarks expressing displeasure over the central budget announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Analysts say the center is very serious about it. Experts believe that KCR received clear instructions from Delhi on strictly asking him not to meet the PM in person, considering the derogatory comments he made.
