An act of kindness is contagious, says a renowned writer. But in this busy life where people tend to neglect their own family, Pranav, a handicapped painter proved that big or small – your help counts. Pranav, a handicapped youth had come to meet Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat on Monday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan met him immediately and shook ‘hands’ with him and it is being described as a wonderful gesture. While two people meet they casually greet each other with a handshake. But since Pranav has no hands, Chief Minister Vijayan held his feet, which Pranav uses as his hands. Holding the feet of Pranav despite being of the Chief Minister, is now winning the internet.
Pinarayi Vijayan received Pranav’s contributions to the CM Disaster Relief Fund. Later, Pranav took the mobile phone with his feet and took the selfie with the CM. Vijayan took to his official social media accounts to share the incident with his followers. “Pranav expressed happiness over the support given by the Government for differently-abled persons,” he wrote. Pranav was born without his arms but didn’t take a step back and turned his feet into hands for performing his daily tasks. He was educated in Chittoor Government College and became famous in Kerala through television programs. Though he was from a lower-middle-class family, his donation for a noble cause has moved people across the country.
Had a very touching experience this morning. Pranav, a painter from Alathur, visited me in the Legislative office to hand over his contributions to the CMDRF. Pranav expressed happiness over the support given by the Government for differently abled persons. pic.twitter.com/5HT770CLMW
