Telangana politics revolves around the panchayat of marriage bills of Rajat Kumar, daughter of Special Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department. TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is demanding an inquiry into the matter. He wrote an open letter to CM KCR. Rajat Kumar, a senior IAS officer facing corruption charges, demanded a court-supervised inquiry into financial transactions between the shell companies.
Revanth said allegations of corruption against senior government officials were also being investigated along with other officials involved in the Kaleswaram project. The letter also said that the companies facing charges should be blacklisted. He said if KCR as the chief minister did not respond to the demands he was making, there would be a situation where people would doubt his business style. He also clarified that the propaganda that has been going on for some time that corruption has taken place in the construction of the Kaleswaram project has to be believed to be true.
Revanth Reddy said Rajat Kumar’s daughter’s wedding expenses were paid by a government contractor. About Rs 50 lakh was spent, the letter said. An English website has leaked evidence alleging that Shell companies (Bigwave Infra Pvt., Interactive Data Systems) paid for the wedding ceremony. Rajat Kumar’s daughter. This is very serious .. Revanth Reddy said in a letter to the CM that it cannot be dismissed without an inquiry.
He was\outraged that there was no reaction from the CM’s office even after 48 hours of the allegations being made. The banquet was held at the luxurious Taj Falaknuma Palace and the five-day wedding was held at prominent hotels in Hyderabad. Most of the costs were billed by Big Wave Infra Pvt. An investigation by the English website revealed that the company address in the old town area of Hyderabad was a forgery. Books from Taj Krishna, Taj Deccan, Taj Falaknuma hotels, and other events were attended by members of the mega-company who used their company email IDs as well as dummy emails.
Revanth said directors of interactive data systems are among the mega companies. Did the mega-company and its shell companies take any advantage by making Rajat Kumar pay the bills? Did all this happen on a quid pro quo basis? He demanded to know what kind of help he had given to those companies for paying the bills. He urged the Chief Minister to ask Rajat Kumar these questions. The letter said a corruption case should be registered against Rajat if the allegations are true. He was asked not to assign any post until the preliminary hearing was completed. Revanth Reddy also demanded that no fresh contract be given to the mega-company.
