TPCC President Revanth Reddy had a chit-chat with the media. He said that CLP leader Bhatti is not able to participate in the yatra in the background of assembly meetings. He said that the chance given to KCR by the people is over. He mentioned that Rs 23 lakh crores have been spent in ten budgets and that Rs 20,000 crores should be spent for each constituency and where is the development.
He protested why the government could not provide double-bedroom houses in the Illandu constituency. He said that there are fee reimbursement arrears of Rs 5,000 crore and Arogyashri has Rs 800 crore arrears. Revanth said that the same conditions exist in the state today as there were power cuts before 2003. He said that today we are facing a power crisis in the state as it was then.
He said that the government had collapsed with the Bashir Bagh electricity movement and Congress had implemented free electricity which he said was not possible. He said that Congress has brought a policy that is favorable to the farmers. He said that KCR gave flamboyant announcements about 24-hour electricity to farmers. He alleged that 50 percent of commissions were collected from private electricity companies.
He said that the state government owes 20 thousand crores to the power companies, while Trans Co. and Zen Co. together are drowning in debts of 60 thousand crores. He said that there was a scam of thousands of crores in the purchase of electricity. He said that he bought it from his trusted Buntla for commissions and money. Revanth said that he took a bribe of one thousand crores with a Gujarat company and bought outdated sub-critical technology.
He said that the Yadadri power plant has not been completed even after nine years. Revanth said that the power companies have collapsed due to KCR’s exploitation and the farmers are facing a severe power crisis. He said Congress is demanding an inquiry into the power purchases made since 2014. He said that the ACD charges will be canceled after the Congress government comes. There is a need to start another movement like the Bashir Bagh movement to let farmers’ associations and farmers take to the roads.
