The ongoing war over Nepotism in Bollywood took a new turn with Oscar-winning composer, AR Rahman, joining the club. In a shocking revelation, the most humble member of the Indian cinema claimed that a whole gang in the Hindi film industry has been spreading rumours about him and are denting his chances of getting good work.
In an exclusive interview with a renowned website after the success of his recent release ‘Dil Bechara’, the world-famous musician said that he never said no to good movies but is being misunderstood by the industry. He also shared that he was shocked when ‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra was advised not to approach him for composing music for his debut film.
“It is fine, because I believe in destiny, and I believe that everything comes from God,” he added. He then addressed the young talented directors planning to approach him saying-“all of you are welcome to come to me. Make beautiful movies, and you are welcome to come to me.”
Actress Kangana Ranaut who has been waging a war against Nepotism in the industry reacted to the claims made by Rahman on her social media channels. “Everyone experiences harassment and bullying in this industry especially when you act autonomous and become totally independent,” read a tweet on Team Kangana Ranaut’s handle, an account run by the actress’ team.
Social media flooded with support messages for Rahman while the netizen started referring to the same gang who worked against Sushant Singh Rajput.
