Shocking everyone in the nation, the dead body of an Intelligence Bureau constable who was allegedly attacked by a mob at the Chand Bagh bridge was found in one of the drains in the Jafrabad. 26-year-old Intelligence Bureau (IB) staff, later identified as Ankit Sharma, went missing since Tuesday evening and was found dead with severe injury marks. It was evident from the wounds on the deceased body that Ankit was beaten up to death and was dumped into the drain.
Meanwhile, Ravinder Sharma, father of Ankit who also works with the Intelligence Bureau blamed the ruling Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) behind the death of his son. According to the reports, the family has blamed a local Aam Aadmi Party leader for the murder. Talking to the media, Ankit’s mother lashed out on the Delhi police stating that the latter did not file a complaint till Tuesday. The riots that have been shaking the grounds of Northeast Delhi took a political hue with the murder of the IB officer.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to social media to condemn the attack. “The culprits must not be spared. 20 people have already lost their lives. So painful to watch people of Delhi suffering,” read his tweet.
