The case of massive fire accident in a COVID-19 facility in Vijayawada that claimed 10 lives has been taking interesting turns with each passing day. Hours after the Krishna district administration revoked the ‘Category A’ COVID license given to Ramesh Hospitals, the managing director of the hospital chain, Dr Pothineni Ramesh Babu on Monday filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
It can be noted that the MD went incommunicado for two days after he released a video over the fire accident. While the state government deployed eight special teams to probe into the accident, Dr Ramesh Babu and Pallepothu Srinivas Rao were already served notices under Section 160.
Meanwhile, Vijayawada ACP Suryachandra Rao stated that action will be taken against actor Ram Pothenini, who is the nephew of Pothenini Ramesh Babu who posted controversial statements on AP CM Jagan in connection with the issue. Vijayawada police stated that he would be slapped with a notice under 90 CrPC.
On the other hand, Former chief minister and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu came to Ram’s support. Condemned Vijayawada ACP Suryachandra Rao’s statement against the actor, Chandrababu stated that it is suppression nod freedom of speech and is a remark in the democracy.
