Right from the release of the trailer, ’George Reddy’ grabbed enough attention including the flak from ABVP, the student wing of the RSS. ABVP Telangana secretary Srisailam who accused the makers of the film of portraying George Reddy, a radical Leftist student leader as a social worker and good person. He also stated that the movie seems to show the rivals of the lead as mobs and that they will not tolerate if their organisation and activists are shown in a bad light. However, the ABVP activists who created quite a ruckus for a few days post the trailer launch seems to remain mum now. Even the BJP and its affiliated unions have chosen to remain silent. Trusted sources revealed that this is a deliberate move in accordance with the instructions given by the organisation heads and BJP leaders. It has come to the notice that the party and the activists have decided to stay quiet until the release of the film to confirm if they were shown in a bad light. If this is believed to be true, it is obviously the silence before a storm.
