“Forgive me,” yours Savi Madappa: is what found in the last letter written by noted Kannada actress Soujanya who allegedly hung herself to death on Thursday in her apartment in Kumbalgodu, Bengaluru.
The suicide note left by the 25-year-old, signed by her real name-along with her screen name mentioned no one is responsible for her death.
“I am only responsible for this…so family, please forgive me…I had promised I’ll never do such a stupid thing in my life but I had no option. I was totally killed inside. Day by day, I was going so low. I never seen me before like before,” read the four-page note recovered by police in her room.
Soujanya was living alone in the apartment for a year and half. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest it was a case of death by suicide, but it can be ascertained only after the post-mortem report is completed.
This news comes as a shock to the Kannada
industry, which recently saw the suicide of actress Jayashree Ramaiah who claimed she suffered from many mental issues.
