Containers full of drugs…transported under the name of talcum pounder..links to Afghan and Vijayawada…young people forced into drug addiction. These are dark realities unveiled in the world’s largest drug rocket which landed up in Vijayawada which came to limelight with the authorities seizing about Rs 9,000 crore worth of heroin in Gujarat.
Drugs are being smuggled from Afghanistan to Vijayawada in containers under the name of talcum powder. While the from address is Hassan Hussain Limited of Kandahar, drugs are being sent to Aashi Trading Company in Vijayawada. Upon the tip-off on the consignment address, the authorities who reached Satyanarayanapuram arrested seven people. Among the seven arrested, two are Afghan citizens.
The officers raided Ashi Trading Company in Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada, and arrested a man named Govindaraju. AP police were left in shock with illegal activities unearthed in Vijayawada who are now interrogating into probabilities of another state being supplied with drugs, the main leader behind.
According to the most reliable information, Narcotics Bureau has already jumped into action and the NIA, CBI and CVC are also investigating into the clues. It is learned that a man named Machavaram Sudhakar started Aashi Trading Company in Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada in the name of the solar panels business. Although the company is set up in Vijayawada, it is reported that its operations are based in Chennai.
