It is raining aggressively in Hyderabad. The reason behind this consistent rain in Hyderabad since this morning is seen as the effect of the shear zone. Due to heavy rains, flood water has reached the roads in many places and traffic is being severely disrupted. The low-lying areas resemble ponds. Roads were waterlogged and traffic was at a standstill. Traffic police are alerting people. They are giving suggestions to those coming from offices and colleges. Farmers and traders are expressing concern as vegetables and fruits are washed away by water in some places. The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of light to heavy rains for the next two days.
Due to incessant rain, flood water reached the roads in Koti, Begum Bazaar, Sultan Bazaar, Abids, Nampally, Bashirbagh, Lakdikapool, Narayanguda, and Himayatnagar areas. Due to this, people are suffering a lot. Water entered the shops in Koti, causing losses to traders. It rained in Khairatabad, Ameerpet, Nampally, Amberpet, Essarnagar, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Somajiguda, and other places.
It is raining in Secunderabad, Boinpally, Tirumalagiri, Alwal, Chilakalaguda, Bollaram, Jawaharnagar, Patni, Paradise, Begumpet, Maredupally, Mettuguda, Raniganj, Regimental Bazar. Due to the heavy rain in the streets of Secunderabad, Patigadda, and Brahmanawadi, the flood water entered the houses. Due to this, the locals are facing serious problems. Heavy rainfall has also happened in the Kutbullapur area of Hyderabad.
On the other hand, in the wake of heavy rain, the traffic police have issued several instructions to the city residents. It is advised not to come on the roads as soon as the rain stops. Those going to offices, businesses, commercial complexes, schools, and colleges are asked to be vigilant. As soon as the rain stops, it is advised to come after an hour instead of rushing to the roads.
Hyderabad Meteorological Center has announced that heavy rains will occur in the North and South Telangana districts today and tomorrow due to the shear zone. Hyderabad is also likely to receive light to moderate rains for the next two days and heavy rains at places.
