The announcement of the Agneepath scheme has erupted quite an unrest across the country leading to severe destruction. The government’s massive loss of property was due to the crackdown by the aspiring Army employees against the scheme. However, the police, who have already arrested the accused, have registered cases.
A total of 138 FIRs have been registered in the last three days across the country and 718 people have been arrested by the police. 60 crore passengers canceled their tickets. Police are trying to catch some more people who are committing violence through CCTV and video footage.
According to railway officials, the construction of a general bogie cost Rs 80 lakhs. 1.25 crore for the same sleeper coach and Rs 3.5 crore for the AC coach. The government spends about Rs 20 crores to manufacture a railway engine.
In total, it costs Rs. 40 crore to make a train that has 12 bogies, and the same train with over 24 bogies will cost the government a whopping Rs 70 crore. In all, 750 candidates passed the fitness test, but only 100 showed up at the venue. But at the Secunderabad railway station alone, it is reported that more than 4000 minors arrived and were involved in the incidents that took place.

Authorities said that more than Rs 700 crore worth of property was damaged in the vandalism created by the students. Authorities announced that in these riots, more than 60 trains were set on fire. The protestors completely destroyed the railway station in Secunderabad and set fire to trains, burning 11 locomotives in Bihar and causing extensive damage to government property, officials revealed.
