32 days after Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as the chief minister of Maharastra leading Maha Vikas Aghadi, the coalition of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress, Ajit Pawar on Monday took oath as Deputy CM. Governor BS Koshyari administered the oath of office in the presence of all biggies of the Maha alliance. In what can be termed as the dramatical turn of events, the Pawar nephew ended up with one of the crucial roles in the recent cabinet expansion.
With this Ajit Pawar has now set the record by assuming the same post for the fourth time. Also Shiv Sena scion Aaditya Thackeray became the first member of the Thackeray clan to have contested and entered the state assembly. Along with Ajith and Aaditya, 34 other ministers took oath in the same ceremony in the presence of dignitaries.
