All the Indian Cinema biggies admit with the fact that almost one-fourth of the Bollywood movies these days are the South-Indian remakes. Joining the bandwagon, Anushka’s blockbuster thriller ‘Bhaagamathie’ was announced to be remade in Hindi with ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ fame Bhumi Pednekar. Directed by Ashok, the same filmmaker who helmed the Telugu version wrapped up his web-series ‘Nasha’ starring Hansika and Mahesh Babu’s sister Manjula and is now all set to hit the floor with the new team. On this note, the makers of the film have dropped a post on Saturday revealing some interesting facts.
The makers of the film have not only revealed the title of the film as ‘Durgavati’ but also released a regal picture with the main cast and crew in it. As it was already announced that Akshay Kumar who is known to encouraging new talents through his films has joined the team as the producer. He was seen in the picture alongside the other crew but this time not as an actor but as a presenter. Akshay and Bhumi have already shared the screen but as the co-stars for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which garnered accolades from both the audience and the critics alike. Sharing a picture of himself along with Bhumi, director Ashok and producer, he shared his excitement through a Twitter post which is now going viral. ‘EXCITED to announce @bhumipednekar in & as #DURGAVATI.
