Amaravati: Senior leaders – former MLC Jupudi Prabhakar and former Jana Sena party member Akula Satyanarayana has joined YSRCP on Tuesday in a meet with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Jagan warmly welcomed the leaders into his party by offering him the party’s ‘kanduva’. Addressing the media after joining the party, the leaders have drenched the CM with the praises and the reasons why they have chosen the party.
Jupudi, known to be a close ally to Jagan’s late father and former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy, compared Jagan with messiah who came to save the state. “By giving chance to five Dalits in his Cabinet, Jagan has shown his commitment towards social equality. He has spent the last 10 years amongst the people, understanding their issues,” he added. Jupudi Prabhakar joined YSRCP during its inception but this hopped into TDP during the 2014 elections. On the other hand, kula Satyanarayana who recently quit Janasena stated that Jagan’s commitment and the administrative reforms like liquor ban and reverse tendering have impressed him which led him to join the party. Akula has contested from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 and lost to YSRCP’s Marganti Bharat Ram.
