‘TDP leader Ganta Srinivas Rao bidding adieus to the Yellow brigade’ has been the most discussed in the state political circles in recent times. While Ganta’s sources confirmed that the former minister is all set to change the loyalties any time soon, no proper confirmation over the date gave space for speculations.
However, the prominent TDP leader seeking CM’s appointment on Saturday and CMO confirming it cleared the speculations around. As per the information from sources, CM and the ex-minister and his son will hold a crucial meeting on Saturday while the latter will join the YSRCP bandwagon on October 8th.
Ganta Srinivas Rao started his political journey with TDP and later joined Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajya Party representing which he also won 2009 elections as MLA. With the ‘Mega’ merger with Congress, Ganta was given ministry. After the state bifurcation, Ganta rejoined TDP and was given Ministry after a thumping victory in 2014 elections.
However, things took an unexpected turn with TDP facing a humiliating defeat in 2019. Ganta was seen maintaining a deliberate distance from the party activities months after which rumours of Ganta joining the ruling YSRCP started taking rounds.
