With the most-waited meeting between the members of the High Power Committee constituted to examine the recommendations of GN Rao and Boston committees right around the corner, tension prevailed in the capital regions on Thursday. As scheduled the 16-members of the committee will meet on January 17th to take the final call over the capital issue which has been the hornet’s nest in the state. With GNR committee and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), an international consultancy firm submitting their respective reports to the state government which reportedly analysed various aspects of state capital development in Andhra Pradesh, all eyes are now on High Power committee’s decision.
On this note, the committee has asked the Amaravati farmers to send their concerns or objections over the capital issue which would be taken into consideration. The farmers were asked to send their concerns either through email or register them directly at the office which was set up in Tulluru. Sources revealed that the respective office and email is receiving a wave of objections from the farmers. CRDA has been taking these considerations from the farmers from January 14th of this month. With the deadline for filing the complaints will end by 5 pm tomorrow, the office set up CRDA at Thullur has been witnessing crowds of farmers on Thursday morning itself.
