In a recent development in the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu-CID notices saga, the former CM Chandrababu has approached the high court challenging the notices issues by CID. In his petition, Chandrababu sought to quash the notices issued by the CID.
While the petition is likely to be heard in the High Court tomorrow, it can be noted that the enquiry was ordered based on the complaint filed by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishnareddy.
Tension ran high at Chandrababu Naidu’s place on March 16th with two teams of AP CID officials visit to issue notices over the aggregation of thousands of acres for the proposed capital of the divided state of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the notices served by CID Sunil Kumar, Chandrababu who also held the Chairman post of the AP Capital Region Development Authority was summoned for interrogation under 41 CRPC.
One of the major charges against Naidu pertains to the alienation of “assigned lands”, which form part of the aggregated 25,000-30,000 acres.
