Tensions prevailed at Former Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao’s house with police restricted him from holding ‘Jathiya Rahadhari Nirbhandhana’ on Tuesday. Police personnel who reached to Devineni’s house at Gollapudi from early hours held him under house arrest. This further led to high tensions with farmers and locals reaching to the TDP loader’s house raising slogans to let his out. With situations slipping out of hands, the police have however let Devineni from the house arrest after which the leader reached to the relay protest camp in Vijayawada.
