As the ‘Save Amaravati’ protests reached to 25th day, the farmers from the capital region intensified the protests across the villages. Tensions prevailed in Thullur as police hurled the farmers who tried to arrange tents for the protests. Special police forces have been deployed as farmers are likely to take up agitations throughout the day. A battalion of police conducted parades in Mandadam warning the people to not come out and carry out any sorts of activities against imposed Section 144.
However, protests are being held in the Yerrabalem, Velagapudi, Thullur and Mandadam. Farmers and women reached to Uddandarayunipalem where Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the capital Amravati and conducted special pooja. Oppositions and various welfare organisations raised their concerns through protests across Krishna, Guntur and Godavari districts.
