Condemning the state government’s move to shift the capital from Amaravati, BJP state unit President Kanna Lakshminarayana staged a silent protest on Friday. Kanna along with the BJP leaders reached to Uddandarayunipalem, one of the 29 villages under capital region sat in for the protest. The protest took significance as it happened to be the same place where the Prime Minister laid the foundation for Amaravati in 2015. On this note, Kanna lashed out on the Jagan-led government for taking the decision against the will of hundreds of farmers who gave their lands.

He alleged that the decision taken by the Chief Minister Jagan has a political conspiracy behind it. Kanna then demanded the government to take back the proposal and to issue an unconditional apology to the farmers. Kanna’s protest has been receiving solidarity from all the BJP leaders across the state. While the cabinet is to take the crucial decision upon the capital city on Friday, the agitations took intense form across all the villages.
