The nail-biting finale episode of ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions, Season-2 wrapped up with an announcement that came as a proud moment for whole India. Fathoming the highest number of votes from show super fans the Mumbai-based dance troupe ‘V. Unbeatable’ won the top talent show. Beating the toughest competition from top ten talent groups including a classic rock vocalist, a violinist, dance teams, the acrobatic dance group from Mumbai clinched the title on Monday.
The Indian group with 28 acrobatic dancers grabbed the Indian media’s attention while they performed for ‘Marana Mass’ song from Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’ movie. As Terry, the show host announced their names, the stage, judges and audience all burst into celebration while the judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Alesha Dixon gave a standing ovation.

Followed by the deserving win, the team thanked everyone who supported them. “This means the world to us,” said one of the dancers. The V in the name stands for Vikas Gupta, a former team member who passed away in 2013 while practising a stunt for a performance. He was paralysed from the neck down and passed away after a few weeks. Many of the group’s dancers had grown up in the slums, and they struggled to continue their passion.
