The number of complaints over the Hyderabad private hospitals looting the families of corona patients were seen heaping despite numerous warnings from the state High Court.
There are instances where the court expressed discontentment over the state government for turning a blind eye towards the malpractices.
Amid the widespread criticism from all prisms over the private hospital offering corona treatment in Hyderabad, KCR-led Telangana government constituted a task force which would monitor the treatment and charged being levied by the private hospital to COVID-19 patients.
The task force team which has three IAS officers Rahul Bojja, Sarfaraz Ahmad and D Divya will continuously monitor the private hospitals that are collecting exorbitant charges and report compliance to the Chief Secretary on weekly basis. The committee will take up and probe into all the complaints filed against the hospitals violating the fee cap.
The Chief Minister, hereby announced that the team will also release weekly reports and that the state government is mulling to increase the medical and health budget to handle the pandemic.
However, social media as flooded with concerns over the committee amid the speculations that the government in backlight has been supporting various chains of renowned private hospitals.
